Moving...
Since we were granted the temporary occupancy permit, we were authorized to move stuff into the house. Mo organized the move of all the stuff in the five storage units. (Coincidentally, my lease on these storage units ended at the end of March.) She, Dave and two friends spent several hours on Saturday and made three trips before we were rained out. Mo drove her car, with the trailer attached. Dave and the other couple each had a pickup truck. On Monday and Tuesday, Mo and I made one trip each day, so that by Wednesday we just had the workbench and all the glass. That was the last load, using the trailer, and the two pickup trucks. And here's what we ended up with: first, the great room:
The garage:
And the studio:
I have spent about three hours each day (six hours on Sunday), unpacking and placing but now need to wait til the kitchen is entirely finished, and the glass shelves (which are at my Mom's) get here. Am hoping to get Pete to help me for a few hours this weekend. Each night I take a load of packing paper and cardboard boxes down to the recycling center, which is conveniently located at the bottom of the hill across from the Post Office.
